Is the 2027 Sierra 1500 more expensive than the 2026?
On most trims, yes. Based on starting MSRPs published on gmc.com in October 2026, the 2027 starts $700 to $4,800 higher depending on trim, while the 2027 Elevation starts $600 lower. Prices exclude destination, tax and fees and can change.
Does the 2027 Sierra 1500 still offer the 6.2L V8?
No. For 2027, GMC replaced the 5.3L and 6.2L V8s with a new 5.7L V8 (402 hp) and a new 6.6L V8 (481 hp). The 2026 Sierra 1500 still offers the 6.2L V8.
Is the Duramax diesel still available for 2027?
Yes. The 3.0L Duramax turbo-diesel (305 hp, 495 lb-ft) continues for 2027. It is standard on AT4X and available on the other trims.
Are the SLE and SLT trims gone for 2027?
